Presentation synopsis:  

Supply Chain also known as Value Chain is an integrated process involving flow of goods, services, and information.  Effective Supply Chain coordinates and optimizes all activities involved in delivery of products and services to the ultimate end user.  Presently, competitive business competition is no longer company versus company; rather it’s company supply chain versus supply chain.  Due to spectacular technological advances revolutionizing every components of supply chain, catalyzed by powerful communication and information flow media, the global entities are headed to produce remarkable results with noticeable shift of business execution.

 

The presentation will address:

 

·         Global Supply Chain As-Is, Trends, Vision, and Predictions

·         Role of Information in e-Commerce and Supply Chain Management/Design

·         Supply Chain Technologies of Manufacturing, Transportation, Custom Clearance, Warehousing, Distribution, Inventory Control, and Delivery of Goods and Services to end Customer

·         Special Focus on

o        IT Project Management of Logistics and Supply Chain Projects

o        Warehouse and Distribution Center IT Implementation

o         Outsourcing Trends in Supply Chain

 

Speaker profileGuri Singh has over 13 years of experience in field of IT and Logistics with emphasis on IT Project Management in Supply Chain.  Presently, he is Senior Manager, IT Client Solutions at UPS Supply Chain Solutions specializing in B2B Integration with warehouse and distribution channel startups in Healthcare and Consumer Industry. 

 

Guri has worked for several major organizations including United Parcel Service, National Freight Industries, Maritime Exchange Philadelphia, Program Planning Professionals, and Indian Airlines. He has held the positions of Solutions Engineer, Director of IT, IT Project Manager, and Project Analyst.  He has Systems consulting experience with Deutsche Bank, Becton

Dickinson, and United Parcel Service.

 

Guri earned an MBA. from N.C. and B.Tech. (Mechanical Eng.) from Banaras Hindu University. He is certified as PLog and PMP. He holds technical certifications in SQL Server DBA, Win2K Security, and XML development.  He also holds affiliations to Beta Gamma Sigma, Honor Business Society US and Phi Kappa Phi, Society of Academic Excellence US.
