Topic: The Communication Connection - Getting it Right Speaker: Claire Sookman Location: Northern District Public Library at 40 Orchard View Blvd., 2nd floor – Room 224 (The Library is located west of Yonge and north of Eglinton, north of the Yonge Eglinton Centre. Eglinton subway station via the centre. If you drive, there is ample Public Parking in the area.)
Speaker: Claire Sookman As the driving force behind the training/consulting firm of Virtual Team Builders. Claire Sookman brings to the table over a decade’s worth of corporate training experience. Specializing in virtual team building and communication strategies, Claire’s unique, targeted approach has helped her clients increase productivity, efficiency and profits. Her personalized, focused seminars have garnered numerous accolades, putting her services in high demand throughout North America.
Claire’s polished communication and training skills were honed through both practical and educational channels. Formal education includes certification in numerous areas. These include Project Management people skills courses through the U.S.-based firm of Provant-Project Management and Langevin Learning Services (Master Trainer). Claire’s technical expertise in training is complimented by a long-standing association with Toastmasters International and the Canadian Association for Professional Speakers.
Actively involved in community and charitable organizations and events, Claire has donated her time to support activities on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Children’s Wish Foundation. She also derives great personal satisfaction mentoring those seeking to enhance their communication abilities. When not traveling for business or pleasure, Claire enjoys equestrian pursuits and other physical activities.

Topic Highlights:
Understanding yourself is the key to understanding and interacting with others. This is the premise of the DISC Personality Profiling seminar. An innovative approach to behavioral insight, DISC not only uncovers unique behavioral traits of those profiled but also gives participants practical solutions for interacting most effectively with different styles. The key Objectives are as follows: § Describe characteristics of their individual DISC profile
§ Learn how to communicate with other DISC dimensions to work more effectively
§ Understand buying characteristics of all 4 styles to increase your sales Registration will be limited to 45 participants-a light meal will be provided.
