PMI-SOC Program Management Office (PMO) Branch



Vision:

A Program Management Office (PMO) Branch to discuss, learn, exchange information, and promote PMOs and their best practices within the Southern Ontario Chapter (SOC) PMO community, and those interested in PMOs.


Mission:


To provide value to our community by:

  • Enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience
  • Creating opportunities for professional development
  • Leveraging relationships to access additional resources
  • Facilitating community through active participation and contribution
  • Fostering innovation and competency through collaboration

 

Strategies:

Raise the profile in the SOC PMO Branch community, within SOC and its branches and components, as well as within PMO communities in the GTA.

  • Launching new programs targeting advanced topics for professional development of Project Managers practicing in the PMO arena.
  • Organizing events and programs that promote PMO Best Practices, Success, adoption and maturity in organizations located within SOC boundaries.
     

Objective and Goals:

  • Establish and increase PMO Branch attendance and participation by offering a variety of events and services to address needs and issues of the PMO community.
  • Recruit leaders in the GTA PMO community to contribute to the SOC PMO Branch through volunteering, contributing artifacts, speaking at events, and by fulfilling interests, and increasing knowledge of PMO best practices.
  • Become a recognized resource for PMO practitioners.

 
Leadership Team (current):

The Leadership Team is tasked to expand the volunteers base, promote PMO Branch within SOC and larger GTA PMs community, and participate at all events organized by PMO Branch.
