We are currently seeking proposals to present at Project Management Institute - Southern Ontario Chapter (PMI-SOC) Professional Developement events to be held in 2009-2010. Relationship management 2. Practical tools and techniques for managing a program and portfolio of projects 3. Managing Project Managers 4. Negotiations 5. Leadership 6. Soft skills to survive in an organization 7. Facilitation skills 8. Managing client expectations 9. Filtering the politics out of decision making and getting to objective decisions 10. Communicating with Senior Management 11. ROI and other financial aspects of program and portfolio management 12. Effective use of Influence 13. Dealing with international projects - leading when working with different cultures 14. Other topics relevant for senior project managers, i.e. defining requirements, Six Sigma, ISO, EPM, etc. PMI-Southern Ontario Chapter hosts various events throughout the year including breakfast meetings (one-hour presentations), evening presentations (one hour to two hours) and continuing education sessions (Saturdays - four hours). We are currently seeking presenters for all of our chapter programs. Other than Continuing Education sessions, there is no fee paid for our breakfast, luncheon or evening presentations. Attendance at our events varies from 30 to 250! In addition to our chapter events we are also seeking speakers for our Information Systems Local Interest Group (ISLIG), Northern Branch (Barrie/Newmarket audience), Health Care Local Interest Group (HLIG), and Program Management Office Local Interest Group (PMO LIG).
