The PMI-SOC Chapter Meetings provide plenty of time for networking, before and after the main presentation, so come with business cards and network with your peers!

Event Topic: Putting Humour to work for less stress and more success

Synopsis:
Laugh as you learn what makes for a truly inspiring workplace with best -selling author and Canadian Hall of Fame  speaker Michael Kerr. In this high-energy presentation, you’ll discover why there really is a "humour advantage" that you can leverage to drive better results at work. You’ll learn the 3 R’s of using humour to manage stress, and discover why humour is one of the most powerful ways to communicate more effectively, manage meetings, strengthen teamwork, boost morale, and drive creativity and innovation at work.

Bio:
A recovering government manager, Michael Kerr travels the world researching, writing, and speaking about inspiring workplace cultures and businesses that leverage their humour resources to drive outrageous results. His ideas on building better workplaces have been featured frequently in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Globe and Mail and Business Insider. His he also the author of six books, including, most recently, The Humour Advantage: Why Some Businesses Are Laughing All the Way to the Bank.

Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 5 business days before the event and must be sent in writing by email to events@soc.pmi.on.ca. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations, subtracted from the refund. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted less than 5 business days before the event. However, substitutions are welcome. Please let us know by 12:00 noon the day before the event of the person you wish to substitute by emailing events@soc.pmi.on.ca
 

Photography & Filming: Photographs, audio, and video are sometimes captured during PMI-SOC events. By registering, attendees hereby grant PMI-SOC and its representatives permission to photograph and/or record them at events, and distribute (both now and in the future) the attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities.
